Amy White serves as the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Relations for Nordstrom. There she leads corporate philanthropy, employee community engagement, environmental sustainability and human right initiatives across the enterprise focusing on target customer awareness building, employee engagement and social impact.
Previously Amy served as the Head of Global Community Relations & Public Affairs at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
White is a seasoned community relations and public policy leader with fifteen years of experience providing strategic leadership, education and management to non-profit organizations, national coalitions, elected officials and key constituents to advance goals and objectives.
Before to entering philanthropy, Amy held a variety of leadership positions within the YMCA movement, and developed expertise in coalition building, communications, organizational management, program design and evaluation, and fundraising.
Amy holds a Master of Public Administration and Non-Profit Leadership from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington. She serves as a Trustee for the Downtown Seattle Association, the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, and the Henry Art Museum.
