Rachel Madan

sustainability & Social Impact Advisor
Washington, DC, uSA

Rachel knew that matchmaking was in her future when, at age 23, she brought together a billionnaire and a farmer to build an elementary school garden that later evolved into a leading environmental education center—and a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Since then, she has joined the dots between art and climate change, design and development, and sustainability and manufacturing. Today, she is still connecting people, bringing two decades of experience working with cross-cultural teams in over 100 countries in government, business, multilateral institutions, and civil society. With her dynamic stage presence, she is a sought-after conference speaker for industry associations, universities, and foundations. She is the author of over 20 publications, including a book about sustainability in the museums sector.

Rachel enjoys karaoke, international travel, and trying to figure out her introvert husband.
