RW Institute is conducting the fourth edition of our independent technology review. We're evaluating the platforms that power corporate social impact, from volunteer management to grants administration to employee giving. No solution provider pays to be included. No one pays to be excluded.
The 2019, 2021, and 2023 reviews helped map a fast-changing market. The 2026 edition goes further.
Every solution provider gets the same survey. Every response goes through the same evaluation framework. Where solution providers haven't completed their survey, we fill in what's publicly available and flag the gaps. The goal is to give CSR practitioners a clear, comparable picture of what each platform actually does, not what the marketing site says it does.
Every platform now claims to be "AI-powered." That phrase tells practitioners almost nothing. So we built a three-tier classification framework that separates machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI capabilities. The framework evaluates what the technology actually does, not what the solution provider calls it.
We also pre-filled each solution provider's survey using public data and information from the 2023 edition. Solution providers are reviewing and correcting, not starting from scratch.
The following 51 vendors are included in the reviewed public roster. As of July 17, 33 had submitted their surveys and 18 had not started. No vendor was in progress at the cutoff. If your platform should be here and isn't, contact us at techreview@rw.institute.
